I know this is an old thread but I just used Dan's email address to contact him to find out the VIN and the D500 engine number for the D500 engine "registry":

Dan is still around and he emailed back that he sold the D500 Golden Lancer in this thread "years ago" and he has no documentation regarding engine, VIN, etc. any longer.

I replied "Thanks. I will chase the new owner if you remember his name."

In the mean time, if any one here knows the new or current owner, please let me know so I can contact them.
