Paul.

I tried looking for a long time for some good used ones, they simply are not out there. And with these cars' habit of rusting floors, finding sill plates with edges that are not gone, where they touch the wet carpet, is near impossible.

There is a guy in New Jersey who reproduces these, by hand.

SILL PLATES,REPRO,US$200 PAIR, Don Kuehn, 81 Graham Street, North Haledon, NJ 07508, Tele: 973-423-1196

Like a lot of things that are hand made, you may have to wait a little for them, but he turned them around for me in less than a month, and packaged them exceptionally well. It's just a little ma and pa operation.

His workmanship is excellent, you could not restore used plates to look this good. Be patient with him though, I know someone who wasn't, and Don told him where to go...

Good luck, and tell him Glenn from New Zealand sent ya!

Glenn.

Glenn,
Thank you so much for this information! I do truly appreciate it! These, like many of the pieces on our beloveds, are like Hen's teeth! Plus - it is always great to support the small businessman!
You've made my 2009 already!!

No problem, my pleasure. I like to always support local USA workers too. Lucky there is not much, if any asian rubbish being reproduced for our rare cars I say!
...now if I could only find myself a car amplifier made in USA for my Fury...

Here is a picture of these sill plates now on my Fury. They are as close to assembly line in detail as you could ever hope for. Support this small ma and pa operation, and Buy US Made. Be tolerant when you call them on the phone, I have heard they got upset at someone I put onto them, because they called after hours....
