Found out about this yard on a local old car forum. The guys here go there often (it's only 1h30 away from Montreal) and from their pictures, there seems to be a number of good Forward Look cars.

Hi Adriana,

These are not my pics, unfortunately. I plan on going down there myself in the near future and take as many pics as I can.

The 1961 Plymouth is a Fury 2 door hdtp. There is another pic of it on the website where I found the ones I posted here. It's not a closeup pic but you can see the roof a little better. I'll find it and post it here a little later.

That blue '58 chrysler looks to have the AC tinted glass....

Did anyone catch that early 60s imperial in the background of the green desoto pic?

Yes that Imperial is a 1962... there was another pic somewhere showing the rear end. It seems in pretty good shape from what can be seen here.

LMAO!

For many years there was a '47 or '48 Crosley wagon parked on a local ranch here, A hot rodder out of Redding, Ca. bought it with the same idea in mind. Never did see it's completion, though.

That's high alright, missing alot of trim, and it's a 4 dr post too. I was in there last about 10 years ago, and the first time around 1990 when we briefly lived north of Keeseville off rt 9. He was high back then too... Mike, maybe you should go down with a camera and give us a report!

That '57 DeS hardtop looks like it might be restorable if it's still there!

I gess he has his good and bad days lol. I also don't think he likes me to much seeing I dated his grand daughter and that didn't turn out to good lol. Ill see when I go if I can get some pics. What types of cars should I take pics of? I know finned mopar's lol

Definitely take a pic of that green and white '57 Desoto and ask about it too, if it's still there, please.

Take a good look underneath and start by seeing if it's solid enough to restore, and if by chance it is, check for completeness (missing parts) under the hood, it should have a 325 Poly (Dodge) engine. Note options, get a price. I remember this car from my first visit many yrs ago since '57/8 DeS/Chry have always been my favorite cars. Be great to see someone here restore this one... and it's only 90 minutes from Montreal! This year & body style is well worth the effort.

Mike, pictures of any 70 and older Mopars would be great!

Oh and check to see if the 354 poly is in that grey 57 Chrysler or black 58 Chrysler!

What did you think of the underside (floors, frame etc) of the DeS? That's critical. We need to get someone to restore that one! If it's solid enough and complete it is well worth $3k imo. They always need 1/4s and rockers, doglegs etc even floors in this part of the country, it's what's below that makes it a viable project or not, especially the frame, spring perches and all.

I assume the grey '58 still has it's poly 354?

well its hard to see cause the tires are flat and its sunk in the ground so I couldn't see the underside. I know from looking at it it will need lower fender work/both rockers/both quarters/really good amount of trunk floor work/ deff needs floor board work/some inner fender work. It is a Standard car tho. but idk if its the doors sagging or if the body is moving. cause I had a hell of a time getting the door open.

Thanks for getting that Mike. Boy that DeS looks like it deteriorated a lot since the pics at the beginning of the thread! Good for glass and trim maybe, a shame.
A lot of them like that in there... and at his prices they'll probably be there a long time!

Thanks a lot for the info and the videos.

I agree with what firedome just said, from what I see here the Desoto, at 3000$, is way overpriced.
