Expert Posts: 2524 Location: Houston | I'm not sure what you need but I also have a generator bracket you can have, it is the one that mounts the generator to the engine, not the long one that tensions the generator. You can have these pieces: Water pump pulley Generator mounting bracket PS pump PS pulley Let me know if you want them, you can PM me your address and I will advise shipping. The PS pump will be heavy...so it might cost a bit to send it.

Expert Posts: 1530 Location: ZH, Switzerland | Your bracket looks rather good. For a comparison I enclosed two pictures of mine (on a 1956 Chrysler New Yorker - prior of the partial restauration).
Good luck with all your work and endavours with your Adventure.

Expert Posts: 1488 Location: New Castle PA | Nope. No one making the carpet to my knowledge. HOWEVER, I have a friend in England who bought a whole LOT of the gold Lurex thread. I gave him a piece of original '57 Adventurer carpeting, and he's looking into having the Lurex woven in. If it's possible without being TOO time-consuming or costly, it may be the only way out.

Expert Posts: 1488 Location: New Castle PA | WAIT! IF that's the hood ornament you're talking about -- the "spear" in the center -- it DOES NOT BELONG on a '57 Adventurer. I always thought it odd that the top-of-the-line car had LESS ornamentation than the other series, but the Firesweeps, Firedome, and Fireflites HAD that sweep, but an Adventurer does NOT. Raffaelle , don't put one on that wonderful car!

Regular Posts: 89 | Hello Raffaele I'm the guy in England who's trying to sort out remaking some carpet for the '57 Adventurer. I sent you a direct e mail earlier today - I hope you got it OK?? At the moment the main problem is getting a colour match in a loop pile carpet. Almost nobody does that style of loop carpet here now. I have to go and see a sample in January or February from a company who says they will do a colour match but the cost is high and the minimum order is 40 M2, so we need a few more people on board to get this off the ground. If the loop pile is correct as a basis for getting a colour match run done, then we might be in business. I have purchased a large amount of gold lurex thread which I intend to weave into the carpet by hand. I'll keep you posted on any developments but if others see this and know of anyone interested in getting some replacement carpet made please just let me know. I think we need about 5-7 people willing to invest in the colour match and then be prepared to sew in the lurex thread themselves - I cannot take on doing all the sewing for 7 cars myself!! Regards Mark
