I' ve been meaning to post these pics for some time now, but never got around to it untill now...

This is a yard I've been to last September, it's about an hour east of Montreal.

There's about 60-70 cars from the 1950's and early 1960's there, and probably more than 250 late-1960's to 1970's ones in another section which I did not visit extensively (I just walked through it to get an idea of what was there). As it's often the case with Canadian salvage yards, at least in eastern Canada, the sheet metal is in really poor shape, but the cars can still yield a good bunch of valuable parts (trim, glass, chrome, etc.).

I counted at least a dozen FL cars there, some pretty complete, and some with almost nothing left. From the top of my head:

-1957 Dodge Regent 2dr hdtp
-1957 Dodge Regent 4dr sedan (at least two or three of them)
-1957 Dodge Custom Royal 4dr Sedan
-1958 Plymouth Savoy sedan
-1958 Dodge Regent 4dr Sedan (two of them)
-1959 Desoto Sportsman 2dr hdtp (Firedome ?)
-1959 Plymouth Savoy 2dr Sedan
-1959 Dodge Mayfair 2dr hdtp
-1959 Dodge Mayfair 4dr Sedan
-1959 Dodge Regent 4dr Sedan (two of them)
-1960 Dodge dart 2dr hdtp (two of them)

-Probably others I can't remember now or I just didn't see. There's also lots of Fords and GM's.

This is a pick-your-own-part place and the owners are a friendly elderly man and his wife. I'll go back as soon as the snow melts here and I have more spare time, ie. in May.. There will also be less vegetation, as it was a bit hard to see around in September...If anyone's interested, shoot me a PM and I'll gladly give out the info.

Some pics (the batteries in my camera were dead halfway through the yard, so I didn't get to photograph all the cars):

Hi: Do you know if there is a 1959 Chrysler New Yorker sedan in this yard? I live near Chatham, Ontario and would like to confirm that there is a car in the yard before making the trip. By the way I certainly like your 59 Mayfair. My mother bought a brand new 1958 Dodge Mayfair Sedan, it was all black with the aluminum side trim, and a black and red interior. It was a very pretty car, but rusted very quickly, and very badly.
Regards, Fred

No, unfortunately, I don't think there are any Chryslers over there actually.. Mainly Plymouths and Dodges and the one 1959 Desoto I'm referring to in the original post.

Thanks for the comment on our car. I know where there's a 1958 Mayfair parts car for sale for 450$ CDN and it's an original all-black 4dr sedan. The car is complete except for the glass (it was vandalized in the 1980's) and the interior is gutted.

I went back to this yard yesterday to pick up some small parts I needed.

In the ten months since my last visit, the '59 Desoto Sportsman's been picked over a lot (windshield and trim is all gone, vent windows too..), and a '57 Plymouth Savoy lost its front end. Still, there's plenty of good parts left there.

I paid more attention to 1955 and 1956 mopars this time, and some of them were very complete.

Here's some pics for your viewing pleasure.

Yep, the yard is still there. The '59 Mayfair two door hardtop is gone , though. Believe it or not, some guy bought the whole thing and took it out of there.. the guy must have spent a lot of time cutting down trees to haul it out of there!

The rest is still there and in the same shape. I actually might go to that yard this next Saturday as I need to check for parts fot the '62 Impala convertible my dad is restoring. I'll take another bunch of pics then.

Is there something you'd like me to look for?

You mean the '56 two door hardtop? I think that's a Savoy. It's was red and white, only my camera does tricks with lighting and white looks blueish.

The yard is near Acton Vale, Quebec, about an hour east of Montreal, along Highway 20.

No, most of the sheet metal and frames on these cars are gone. The only restorable FL in that yard is a 1959 Dodge Regent sedan.
