Expert Posts: 2824 Location: Snohomish, WA. | How did Colorado become part of the PNW region? Did I miss another meeting or something? Crap, Arkansas was already a stretch, now Colorado. We better vote. NO Mike

Location: Parts Unknown | How does Maiwand District, AFG figure into our expanding suckey region? This place sucks beyond anything you guys can throw at it back home, AND we have the added excitement of IEDs blowing your car to bits ! Nothing beats an afghan party. Better brush up on your Pashto, guys.

Elite Veteran Posts: 1102 Location: Hayward, Calif | Although I can't brag about blowing up 'stuff' or shooting at anyone, I have been busy. The trans on the riding lawn mower froze up. Made by Spicer, would have thought they would have made it a little better than that. $400 for a new one, decided to fix this one. $40 for parts and am back to mowing the yard. P/S box on the 77 Cordoba got sloppy, got another one at junk yard, so got it back together. Will grease the frt end this AM and road test. Better take the dog along, as she sat in the back seat most of yesterday and didn't seem to understand why the car didn't move. Gas prices are coming down and car shows coming up, so hoping for a fun summer. Take care Guys, and 'keep it in one lane' . Jerry

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7807 Location: Williams California | Jerry, You'll have to make it up to the Maxwell rodeo car show, there arfe usually lots of Mopars there, and it's free! We usually do a BBQ at the yard after the show is over. I'll have to get the date, but usually the third Saturday in May. ---John

Elite Veteran Posts: 1102 Location: Hayward, Calif | Looks like May is going to be a busy month for shows. I have the New Yorker scheduled for upholstery shop May 7, sounds like he will have it for a week. That should let it be a bit more competative and still be able to enjoy touring. John, I'm registered for a 10th annual local show, May 19. I hope this doesn't conflict with your rodeo show. I'd like to get up there for that. If nothing else, just to piss off Doc. HA !! Elite Veteran Posts: 755 Location: Big M Automotive's Yard | Believe it or not, most of the MOPARs aren't ours. This year John is driving Christine, my sister and best friend are taking Brutus, Big Al might take Flo, and I and my nephew Jack (7 years old) will be taking the Hurst Olds. His first ride in a classic car will be in an olds and not a mopar, sorry. The Olds is the only car with seatbelts and an 8 track. M'Lisa

Account deactivated by owner's request Location: On this barrel | Us Pacific Northwesterners are fiercely independent and territorial, so much so that we must maintain at least a 100 mile radius between us and another forum member at all times. And as you can tell by Dr. Desoto's other posts, some of us suffer from social neurosis. And I'm pretty sure Idaho isn't technically in either the PNW or Rocky mountain region. We are in the neither world, feared by mortals.

Location: Parts Unknown | When I got home a couple days ago, I went out in the shop and just looked at the DeSoto. Yesterday I was looking at the Dodge while I pawed through the 66 Coronet for paperwork. I videotaped myself talking to no one in particular with a lot of time focused on my shoes to replicate a PNW Region "meeting". Look for it on Youtube.

Location: Parts Unknown | 3 weeks leave. Then back to the fun ... the "good" months when it is hot as hell. Unless these assbags finally kick up, I am done at end of contract. I have been working 2 steps above my pay grade for almost two years now and am pretty much done with lazy slobs making five times my income on my upline, too busy covering their ass and going to the gym while good people out in the field languish with no support. I hate to leave my team, as they will suffer without me pushing for them, but two years is enough. Maybe come home and get a couple certs and go back ? I don't know. It would be easier to come in fresh at a higher pay grade than push up from below. The "boys club" cronyism system sucks, but it is deeply entrenched and I am done fighting it. 13 Sept. is my last day unless big changes occur.

Asking about getting together and such, having meetings...... that's sorta anti-PNW-region speak if you ask me. Next time I log in I hope this thread has not progressed again as it did this last period of inattention. Get it together, boys. Others are watching us for leadership here. Mike

Elite Veteran Posts: 1102 Location: Hayward, Calif | Geeze Guys,,,,,,,,,,elephants ?? Went to Mopar Alley show June 2nd. The 65 New Yorker got 1st place in its class. Pretty much the same bunch of cars there, maybe not quite as many as last yr. There was a real nice 41 Ply delivery sedan, and a nice 59 Dodge 2dht (not in the show). Took some pics, haven't got around to down sizing to post them. Arthritis in lower back been killing me lately, so can't sit very long in front of this dumb -ss computer. Been working on trunk floor for the 59 Dodge. Got the new donor floor done and am cutting out the hacked up floor that's in there now. Took pics, need to resize them too. OK, gotta get out of this chair. Bye,, Anyone ever try medicinal mariwana for arthritis? Just curious? Jerry

Location: Parts Unknown | Given the issues of smoke-on-lungs, I think I'll wait for the THC pill, thanks. Imagine serious arthritis AND an oxygen tank to drag around ! Ask Uncle Walt about his thoughts on smoking as a means of chemical ingestion.

Expert Posts: 2824 Location: Snohomish, WA. | Jerry, you live in the land of fruits and nuts, I'd think you'd have a plethora of neighbors willing to give you their personal experience with pain and Mary Jane. I think, in the interest of preserving our patented suckiness, you should start a PNW medical thread regarding members success or failure with using various folk remedies to address their malady 'de jeur. Someone could also start a different but related thread showing the effects of drugs and alcohol on their car projects, such as cosmetic improvements possible once one gets a load on and picks up that handy-dandy plasma cutter or how smoking weed improves your welding bead.
