Hi All

Been quite a while since I've been on. At least it feels that way! Not much to report on here. Been busy with work/house/family/driver repairs; y'know, the usual keep-you-from-the-project-car stuff. Wrapped up a looooong term engine/trans project on my beater pickup and have that out of the garage finally. That let me slide the '58 back into the work bay. I'm picking back up now on the brake work I'd started a few years back. I had the '68 Monaco rear axle in place with the rebuilt center section. I dropped the new correct backing plates in to soak tonight. Once those are cleaned up I'll be ready to finish off the rear assembly. With that close to wrapping up, I started scraping the years of grease and mud off the bolts on the front suspension so I can move on to it next. I have most of the pieces for a Diplomat spindle swap ready to go. I'm going to need all the rubber though before I can reassemble it.

My goal is to have it road ready in March. That'll be our 10th wedding anniversary and thus also the 10th anniversary of getting it back (wedding gift). Considering how slow things can go, I'm nervous I'll be able to pull it off. In addition to the brakes I have a couple of transmission issues (bad leak, cable adjustment), a very leaky power steering system (haven't tried tracking it down yet), and a charging issue. I have some great friends with a lot of years experience though, so still hopeful. I'm thinking a couple of" Pizza, Pop, & Parts" parties should move things along.

I'll try to do regular updates. Wish me luck!

Hi All !

I wrote the owner of the latest Dartline, and ask'ed if he was ok with me adding him to the list of Dartline's,
He just wrote back, that will like to be part of our thread, so I will ask him to put some pictures up here.

Thanks John, I'm a bit worse, but still fighting, I'm lucky that my health problems is not lethal, it is just my,
ability to do labor with lift and turns, so if I was a horse I would have been shot :). how about you and your healt,
are you ok, and are you still abel to enjoy your car's ?

Hi Torben - good to hear from you, long time!
Do you still have your '58 and how are you faring?
I've sold my '58 Windsor and other FL cars for now, but am sort of looking for a '57 Dodge 4 dr hardtop like my Grandfather had from new.
Take care!

Hi Roger !

Good to hear from you to, and yes it is a very long time !

I do still have my 58 Windsor, but no, I still have not been able to do anything to it.

I also have My 59 Spectator, it is not running right now do to a brake problem, but thats all..

I know you sold the Windsor, but I'm glad you still think of getting another Mopar .

Yes, I'd love to find a '57 Dodge 4 dr hardtop, my Grandfather bought one new, a warm gray and charcoal 2 tone 4 dr hardtop, and that's the FL car that got me interested in them in the first place.

I have a '69 Olds Cutlass Holiday 4 dr hardtop now, it's a nice size and a great looking, running, and driving car, but I'll always have a soft spot for '57 and '58 Mopars of all kinds!
