Wayne, I thought the email link had been changed, I'm sorry it's still there.
I've big issues at work at the moment, It's taking up a lot of my time at present.
Steve has initiated a discussion regarding the History section etc. on the amdin section of our forum.
If you've been "chatting" to him, I know you'll realise he's a good guy and more than capable of the position he holds within the club.

Cheers.
Lee.

Thank you for those kind words Lee.....

Yes Wayne, i have, as promised, opened up discussion within the club administration to see what can be done with the History. I feel it could be better than it is, so i gave my word to you i would bring it to the club for discussion and this is what i have done. The email address issue, like Lee, i too thought this had been changed. I suppose we should have checked being Admin, but we didnt. So sorry for that. Steps are being taken to sort this out.

Please have patience with us, we are learning the rope with this new forum.

I hope that we can continue our constructive conversations soon.......Lets try.

Wayne,

Following on from the chat session we had the other day. As promised I have brought your two requests to the ICC about changing both the paypal email address and webpage history section. As I'm sure you would expect it was met with some very mixed reactions and points of view.

During our club discussions and once everyone's opinions were aired, several very productive conclusions were developed. The two concerns you brought up during our chat session have now been put to a vote for action in which the ICC membership have been asked to participate.

At this point I can advise that the membership did not agree with making any changes to the History, but felt that we needed to better promote our club by changing the Paypal account email address. Our members felt this would take a positive step for our club and steps have now been taken to address this.

Your request for the History section of our webpage to be changed has become a major sticking point for us. It is strongly felt that the truth has been portrayed in this section and the club is reluctant to make changes to it. However, it was felt that we should remove reference to any other clubs from this History section and this is presently under discussion.

I appreciate the opportunity we had to talk and feel that from these discussions we have managed to come up with several other ways that we can improve the ICC's image and get even more exposure for our club. I really think we have found a renewed sense of vigor to build and expand our club.

Even though there has been some bad blood between the two clubs, I really think our chat will bring about positive results for both of our clubs. Thanks again for your time the other night in the chat room. I'm really excited to see how all of these new ideas pan out just because the two of us were willing to afford each other respect and talk.

Wayne, to continue with the positive steps taken, you need to make some changes for me.

I need you to speak to your members and ask that from this point forward that none of your membership attempt to gain access to our club via devious means. We are aware of people that have attempted to gain access, some have in fact gained access only to be banned, with no benefit to either of our clubs, other than to create more negativity. This needs to stop, please.

Furthermore, there has been a couple of posts that suggest the CCC is in some way the more senior club. Wayne, you must accept that this is incorrect. The two clubs, yours and ours were one and the same at some point in the past. They are of the same vintage. This needs to be dropped, it only antagonizes our members and yes, provokes trouble.

I have been at pains to stay out of the inter club issues mate, but I have personally witnessed on a number of occasions some of your members making veiled comments that do provoke some of the ICC members. Some of these ICC members, due to the long history they have in this hobby, cannot ignore these comments and have reacted. I think you will agree, this does need to stop.

The members of the ICC have been asked that in the event of them coming across incidents that provoke a negative inter club response, then this should be drawn to an Administrators attention.

Wayne, I do hope that this is the start if a new outlook for the clubs, one in which we can learn to leave each other to our own clubs without the constant and somewhat annoying bitterness that has for too long overshadowed this great hobby.

Long live Christine, the movie, the book and the Forward Look hobby.

All the very best
Steve

Steve,

I see that you have in fact edited your "history" section removing reference to the CCC "Cult" but I'm afraid that until the remaining antagonistic and negative comments are removed my hands are tied. As much as I had hoped to bring about new beginnings I cannot in good conscience move forward in lieu of such desperate "rock bottom" tactics aimed at adversely affecting our reputation. Trying to move forward in lieu of such negativity would be a waste of time. As for the CCC being the senior of the 2 clubs the reality Steve is that it is. I can personally confirm this as I cofounded it in 2005.

Steve, If at some point the ICC should become interested in fresh new beginnings as a whole and decides to let go of the past so we can make a genuine go of it let me know. In the meantime thankyou for no longer using our club name in your Paypal account.

Best,
Wayne D.

Wayne......

Yes, the history section has now changed......cant you see that is a huge step forward mate. The history now is generic, makes no reference to the CCC. I disagree mate, this is a step forward and should be seen as that.

Well, if you wish for the interclub stuff to cease, then you need to address the matters at hand, namely this antagonistic approach. And the clubs ages are irrelevant and should not be used as a pawn for one up man ship.

Lets look at dropping the inter club one liners that seem to only provoke............See your signature.

Mate, please see this as a sincere attempt to put the past behind and have our clubs leave each other alone.

thanks mate

" The history now is generic. Makes no reference to the CCC" Ozysteve

Please don't insult my intelligence Steve. There are only 2 Christine clubs so even the simplest concept of deductive reasoning points to us......

At this juncture I think it's best we respectfully agree to disagree and spare the Forward Look any more discussion of the topic. You do your thing and we'll do ours.
