Believed to be first registered in Colorado Springs, February, 1960. Purchase price $3017.

Not much is known about the car for the next 45 years, other than in September, 2005 the car was bought in Colorado by Phil, a retired Disney World engineer then living in Las Vagas, Nevada. It was running - barely - and was in fair condition. The owner at the time (his son, actually) hadn't owned it long and needed money. We've all heard that story before! The car had been stored in a storage unit for some time (I don't know how long) and someone had removed the bumpers so it would fit. This turned out to be the biggest issue Phil had to deal with. The bumpers had been tweaked and it took some time to get them right. This was done before Phil had them re-chromed to show quality.

Phil worked on the car pretty steady from October 2005 until October 2006 when it was completed. He paid US$2045 for the car and spent US$13317 on parts and services for a total of US$15362. Every receipt was accounted for and a build book kept with hand written explanations of how, what and where parts were. An electronic Excel spreadsheet was also kept, listing work completed, parts cost breakdown with where the part was purchased or sourced from, the date he order it, the date received and any comments associated. Very comprehensive. The new owner will receive all this information and the 79 page build book as well.

Over this time the car was stripped completely. Mechanicals & body work completed along with new interior, paint and bright work, all with amazing attention to detail along with the labour of Love for all things old.

Phil sold the car shortly after completion to Russell who lived in the small high country town of Hurricane, Utah. He and wife Patricia owned the car until putting the car up for sale when it became a necessity due to the start of the American economic downturn.

We purchased this matching numbers car over the internet from Russell in August 2008 after very long and lengthy phone negotiations. At first, the car was advertised as not available to overseas buyers, but once Russell found out the car' s build date had significance to Australia, the deal was done and the car shipped to Australia to start its new life down under.

This magnificent window into the past features a 361 CID V8 that produces 295 hp, a push button automatic transmission, power windows, power seats, power steering, and power brakes. It has melodious dual exhausts, a totally refreshed interior in multi tone vinyl. All gauges work as they did nearly 51 years ago, alas, the valve radio has stopped working years ago but still has the original front facade. Provision is made for a modern stereo in the glove box with amp in the boot.

1960 chrysler windsor that is in original shape and garaged kept the past 22 years. It has a 383 golden lion V-8 motor and push button transmission. The car is in very good shape for its age and runs well. The tires are in need of replacing due to age and dry rot. The interior is in good shape and the headliner was replaced many years ago. Has extra moldings and taillights in the trunk. It is better to see in person and to hear and see the car. There may be some issues that may exeist that we are unaware of. Title has to be transfed to complete transaction and is sold as-is where is. Can reach at 215-441-9000 mon thru fri and after 5 and weekends at 267-549-7424
The odometer reads 77397 but the title is marked exempt so it is being sold miles exempt. The power steering might need a little work but that is the issue that we know about.
