Expert Posts: 2519 Location: central Illinois | Here's a previous thread. http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=33706&... There was another a year or so ago and pictures were posted. The member was putting it on an Imperial. I noted in the picture that the head pipe coming off of one exhaust manifold was not anywhere close to being mandrel bent. In fact, the diameter of the pipe looked to be about 1/2 the size it originally was because of the 90 degree bend. The owner seemed very happy with all the pipes laid out and ready to install but I can't remember him posting an update.

Location: North Australia | That was me. Pipes not installed yet, motor is out being re-built. Compared new pipes to the patched up jobs on the car and they look very good for an acurate fit. True, the pipe bends are a restriction, but the fact is that there is limited room for the pipes anyway. The Waldron pipes are 1/8 of an inch bigger than the header pipe on the car now, and they are (canadian) stainless. The (4) muffler boxes are also all stainless and look like very good quality. Kit also came with all the clamps, hangers e.t.c to fit it all up. For $700 (plus $650 to ship to Aus') I am stoked with it, even though it is still not on the car. Soon.................. I think of it like this, over 30 feet of pipe bent to the original exhaust pipe templates, plus 4 mufflers that look like the photo's I've seen of the originals, plus the clamps and hangers all stainless steel. Where else could I get that? Steve.

Location: North Australia | Just to clarify, the bends are not 1/2 the original pipe size, I checked it out with an internal caliper (and a vernier) and I estimate approx' a loss of about 1/8" from the original(new pipe) I/D. Hard to guage accurately as the bends are ovalloid (is that a word?). Steve.

Expert Posts: 2519 Location: central Illinois | That's not a bad price at all for stainless. I'd be interested hearing from anyone else that's installed a system to see if it fits right. That may be the way I go.
