Bit more progress, finally got transmission in, just on with propshaft and exhaust, and that should be the chassis finished.

Thanks for comments, has been a hard 18 months getting my life back in order, interior seats and panels are being done at moment, also all chrome away at platers,
Body about ready for paint, hopefully all going well should be done soon, need a few bits of rubbers etc, will try Gary but other than that I don't know where else to go?

Thanks Paul.

I don’t post on here very often ( just lurk in the shadows ), but your work looks great! Can’t wait to see the finished product. Hope my ‘58 looks that good when it’s done :-)

Bit of a update, finished strunk floor, must have hoovered and blown out all the nooks and crannies half a dozen times, and still managed to get crap blown in paint, will give it a sand down and buff, or re clear it again.

Absolutely magnificent work Paul , a credit to you . And for the people who aren't overseas like us , the cost , hassle and effort is tripled due to so many factors , so to have done that in the UK make it even more amazing .
Keep up the pics , we love seeing them , and for all the guys who haven't got their cars to this stage I bet they are drooling !

A fantastic achievement! I must admit my restoration is not really reaching that level although it is a rotisserie one.
I have a desoto firedome 58.
Is the colour blue on the carrier only for 3,15 ratio? I btw don`t find 3,15 in the mopar 55-58 parts manual but 3,18.
My car has 3,18 punched on the crown wheel and on the outside 3.1 but the 8 is not so clear.
Shouldn`t there be a red daub beside the filling plug , at least on chrysler 300 it often is.
Wasn`t there any daubs on the control arms? Mine had yellow on upper and green on lower close to the ball joints. There is a small chance I have it backwards ,
I lost a couple of pictures.

Ralf: There are both 3.15:1 and 3.18:1 ring/pinion sets listed for 57-58, depends on which year and which model line. See below:

Thanks Dave , strange...when I checked my manual I noticed it is a little different from yours...the 3,15 just isn`t there..
Does anybody know what a punched T near the bolt flange on a 1634983 8 3/4" means?

Ralf
