If someone's going to claim that they have a one-of-one car, then they need to provide documentation (build sheet) that supports the claim.

Never seen a body tag like the one shown here E0523L...  Is this unique to cars built in Evansville ?

That engine is NOT original for that car in that configuration. In '58 the dual quad 318 was a FURY exclusive engine, the option motor in everything was the 350 golden commando.

CORRECT! But let me re-phrase your statment. The ENGINE, 'MAY" be correct. The 2,4's on top of it, are waht's not correct. Those WCFB's are '57. '58's had AFB's

Granted, the '58 Fury engine, was (in theory) not available in other models.
But it was still a 318 with two 4-bbl WCFB carburetors (see the '58 service manual page 383).

The AFB's were only for the 350 and the 318 Super Pak which had only one 4-bbl (see the '58 service manual page 394).

These kind of cars when offered up at these prices should be darn near, if not close to, perfect in the small details,
many of which would be simple and cheap to fix.

What did the original convertible seat material look like? It should be different than the hardtop materials but in the same pattern right? Those seat covers look like they were bought through sms or something, the stitch work looks totally right but they were just installed very poorly.

Dunno if Dogbone was the material put into the verts, but this car would look pretty, with Blue Dogbone in it.

I would like the factory air in the tires, if no one else needs it.

Plus the key fob.

And one of the lug nuts; not sure which one I need, I have to check the numbers.

I bought my 58 convert in around 1980, it still had the original interior (If you could call it that), it was rough but it was not the dog bone stuff, it had the same material as in the Belvedere hardtop. At the time i replaced it with a modern material that would hold up better. And it did, its still in the car and in good shape.
the car for sale is real nice, I think a little pricey, but to each its own. HAPPY MOTORING! Victor.

funny- looking at the pic now i think the samples posted earlier tricked me! this has more of a shape like S's... but the same rubbery shape-on-fabric material though- seems more waterproof like you'd want for a 'vert just in case!.... too many cars to remember the little details!
