Expert Posts: 2181 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Muskego, WI | Saw some old mopars in this really over grown and run down junk yard on Highway 20 just west of East Troy, WI. Only took a couple pics, I was fun to walk around and imagine what this place was like 40 years ago. Sad to see that someone at one point attempted to save some of the nicer cars, such as the Imperials shown, only to have the building fall in. The Plymouth was the best example of a mopar in the yard, most others were almost unrecognizable. The last picture of the pile just shows the general state of the yard. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Expert Posts: 4533 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Ripon, WI | What? You could have bought one of my cars and taken them back. Any of them imperials for sale? Any idea on the money? How bad did the other end of the cars look?

Elite Veteran Posts: 664 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Wales, Wisconsin | I was in that yard back in the late 80's and it looked pretty much the same. I tried to call the yard last year and the owner said he was open Saturday from 11:30 to 2:00 and was quite the jerk on the phone. I asked about coming to the yard and he yelled something unintelligible into the phone and hung up. The previous owner was a great old guy that lived in the yard in a mobile home and would talk all day about the yard and stories behind some of the cars. Hopefully I will get in there this coming Summer. John

Expert Posts: 2181 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Muskego, WI | The yard is still open but only on Saturdays from 11 am to 2 pm (the opening time seems to vary). The guy "running" the place is a jerk that thinks everything is worth a mint, he seems to be more content watching once valuable parts and cars rot into the earth that make a buck. I was told to stay away and out of the buildings (so of course that was the first thing I did), I don't even know if the guy has an idea of what he has. No idea if there were any '61 Dodges. He does have some other valuable cars that have been allowed to rot to nothing, the place is a shame but interesting at the same time. If you're local, it's worth a walk around.

Seriously, the guy should take advantage of the scrap value in that pile as there is very little of any value there. ---John

Expert Posts: 2181 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Muskego, WI | I don't know if you could even get in there to remove the cars to scrap them, there are so many bushes and trees growing up in the way of everything. It will probably stay that way until the owner dies and somebody buys the property and scraps it all out.

Elite Veteran Posts: 664 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: Wales, Wisconsin | I went to this yard today and took 122 pictures. Here is a link to the photobucket site with all the pics. I tried to stick to FL cars but a few others got in too. Enjoy as these will all be crushed soon. http://s681.photobucket.com/user/383jrb/library/East%20Troy%20Wisco...
