What color should the block of 383 be? What color should the 383 valve covers be? And what color should the air cleaner(s) be? |

| Ram --
In 1960, the Dodge and Dodge Dart ram-inducted engines were red blocks, valve covers and aircleaners with silver ram tubes. The '60 and '61 Plymouths used the same color scheme of red blocks with gold valve covers, ram tubes, and aircleaners both years. I would assume Dodge did the same, although I must admit that while Plymouth used the same "Golden Commando Power" and "SonoRamic Commando Power" badges both years, Dodge did change their "D-500" ones.
A few years ago, Gary Goers had some '59 D-500 decals and the radiator and aircleaner stickers for ram engines. JC Auto also may have some of the stuff you need.

I was digging for pics for your other thread ("1961 Dart D500 413") and came across these -
I know the vast majority of folks say for a '61 D500 the block is red as well as the valve covers and
air cleaners with silver tubes.
I see that in the pic of the heater delete car, but in the other one I see red air cleaners and silver everything else.
Bad black and white photos in an old mag taken by a bad cell phone camera aside
What do you guys think ?
P.S. I did find a bunch of stuff for your other thread too
