Totally complete and original. Same owner for nearly 40 years. Needs restoration but all the original and hard to find parts are there. Rust in rear quarters otherwise solid. Black with gold trim. Original paint. Email me for information as I've had some PM's delete before I could read them. john@theconcours.org. Offering to server first. Will post on Ebay in a few weeks if not sold. Many thanks!

Kari6, I know what you mean. This was found by a very long time friend two days ago and he brought me over yesterday to photograph it and look at it. I like the mystique of the 'as found' images but he wants to clean it up a bit. There are extra parts with the car (two air cleaners, bumpers, a hood, hub caps (I am unsure how many), a fender and a trunk lid). He provides parts so he intends to keep them with his inventory as the car is entirely complete (drivers door panel is off the car but in the car) and does not need any of the parts. Fairly light on the options. Tinted glass, seven button radio, power ant, power windows/seat, etc (standard in the ADV). Floors are solid with no rust. Car had not come out of the garage since 1971 and same owner since 1967. Original seat material under the goofy padding which can be removed (see the picture where I peeled it back a bit). Asking $30K.

Not come out of the garage in 30 years? That must not have been much of a garage, that rust from sitting?

And $30k asking price? Really?

the car worth 10 grand and only for someone who would redo it personally. Restored would be at 55-75 ( plenty on the market ) but restoration costs are like for convertible. if it would be convertible price would be around 70k at current prices.

I'm curious about the headliner---cloth???

Max KNOWS the as-is value of unrestored cars -vs- their #1 condition fair market resale value.

Also, too, this is a 1959 model; which, for us-all, is of no great value-penalty, but, for the speculator
(think: Chubbies) this model would not be of as much monetary interest as would be a 1957-58 model.

For the do-it-yourself'er/keep-it-forever'er, this car is a major opportunity!

I think that's true.  it  makes no sense as an investment, Especially at 30k.

However, most do-it-yourselfers are not gonna want to spend 30k on a project car either.

At 15k+ I think somebody who just always wanted one could justify it, but it is really going to take 'that special buyer' to get 30k out of it.  But there is no harm in looking as long as they are fine with no sale for some time (or ever.)
