Location: Ponder, TX | I'd really like to find another method to attach the stainless moldings on my '56 Plymouth, especially those around the windshield of the hardtop. With all the modern products for car trim, surely someone must make a clip that attaches to the sheetmetal with an adhesive instead of a threaded stud.
Has anyone looked into something like this...or will I have to fabricate my own? |

Location: central Illinois | Not sure what size you're talking about, but I'm considering using something like this push in style. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-1-2-1-5-8-Push-In-Trim-Moulding-Clips-NOS... |

Location: Ponder, TX | The particular problem is that the stock mounting holes are drilled through the roof and the cowl and are prone to leak. I want to weld the holes closed and use some type of mount that is attached with adhesive. I can probably make something that will work by using two-sided tape with modified metal clips, but I was hoping someone already made them.

| If you seal them right the way the factory did it, they don't leak. |
