Never have understood what Ex was thinking, letting that bottom piece droop like that. While I would not change the tail lights - I have a thing for stock lights - I think they are pretty cool overall.

Expert Posts: 1374 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Location: central Illinois | I've often wondered how they deal with the curved windshield on these chopped cars. And is it possible to use the side windows in stock form or do they need modified. I'd have to lose the fender skirts. Why cover up a good thing?

While I am inclined to disagree with Sid on this point, I believe he pegged it for those who do like them. And for customizers of the late 50's and early 60's, this point of view seems to have been very popular.

And for customizers of the late 50's and early 60's, this point of view seems to have been very popular. can't remember using the word sleek but skirts, imo, make the body look heavier, longer and lower. i like the contrast of heavy/big appearing bodys and light airy rooflines which is typical 50s. but the 57/58 plymouth skirts are not very well designed, the lower edge always seems to have the wrong slant. i kinda like these cars (especially the one with the 60/61 skyhigh rear window/skirts!) but they are chopped like most a bit too radical.

Both cars looks like someone stepped on them, just my 5 cents
