Elite Veteran Posts: 673 Location: Malung, SWEDEN | Hello guys! Im a new member but a long time lurker... As you know interest is big for old Mopars here in Sweden, and "new" ones still arrives from US. A friend of mine recently bougth a 300 F Vert "basketcase" thats now undergoing a total resto. When every piece of history makes this car more interesting I´m write to ask for your help. Maybe anybody of you guys can remember this 300 and tell something about it or its past owners. Would also be very interested in pics from its days in US. This is a longshot, I know, but asking anyway. Today we know as follow: Current owner: Mats Andersson. Sweden First owner in Sweden: Sören Persson. Sweden Imported to Sweden by: Benny Järudd. Oct 12.2007. Sold to Sweden: Peter Krell. http://www.petesclassiccars.com/ Texas The orignal title issued 04/18/68 says: Frank Stanley Shelby. 4819 W Purdue. Dallas, 75209. Prewious owner: Trent Whatley. Garland Tex . Licence number LPT48. VIN: 8403124359 I also got this mail from Peter Krell: hi, i sold that car a long time ago. i would have to look to see if i have any records. the man on the title was an engineer who had it since 1968. when i bought it about a week before i sold it to Soren, it was in a collapsed car port in a very wooded farm outside of Dallastx. the owner had moved ,but left the title with the old address. i have no way of contacting him or the previous owner who is probably passed on.i may have some photos, not sure. i will try to look at a later time. all i did was clean it and put on tires and sell it to Soren. Tak, peter krell I´m interested in every little detail about this special car and would love to talk to previous owners if they still alive. Sören, the first owner in Sweden, belive that the car was sold new in Chicago? but can´t remember who told him. Hope anybody here recognise this 300F. Thanks, Magnus

Elite Veteran Posts: 708 Location: Fredrikstad, Norway. (Europe) | Just can't find the words, so I'll just say fantastic, amazing, etc. etc.~~~~ Have heard and seen a lot about Jan Friedberg. Famous in Norway too. Wonder if mr. Fridberg or anybody else in Sweden makes lower rear quarter-panels for 1960 DeSoto Adventurer 2 door hard-top ? Should be the same for all '60 DeSoto and Chrysler 2 d h-t models. Perhaps other '60 - 61 Chrysler products too. I'll be very greatfull for any info on these quarterpanels. old fart

Elite Veteran Posts: 827 Location: tailFinland | Magnus, Have you tried to order a build sheet copy from the Walther P Chrysler Museum (they just closed for good last december) or 300 club? It tells when and how (options) the car was build and who ordered it (dealer). How about try DMV of TX where it was last registered? In early 90´s when I got a "60 Desoto, I wrote a letter to one of the previous owners (found old registration papers in the clove compartnment) Few weeks later I got a long letter back with very interesting story of the Desotos history and the owners. Even a picture of the grand father who bought it new in Cedar City Utah. He drove it only on sundays to go to the church with grand ma. Then it was herited by grandchildren and traveled all over US and finally ended up to CA. The rest was an old story, a skandinavian wanted it more, itha s 3 owners on a same day when I first saw it I hope you a good luck of tracking F's history!

Elite Veteran Posts: 827 Location: tailFinland | d500neil - 2013-01-23 3:53 PM Beautiful workmanship, but shouldn't the P/S pump be painted in semi/matt black finish, and what kind of alternator is that one? Swedes build and restore nicest cars in the world, even cheapest Plymouths and Chevies look better restored(quality wise) than hand made Biarriz was when it was new. Bodies look straight and lawless, stainless is like mirror Lots of glear lacquer on radiator, brake booster... plated bolts and screws, I ve seen polished brakelines too. It all looks awesome but in same time.. may I say incorrect Reason for this might be that judges on the carshows respecting blingbling more than originality. If you restore a car how it was built when it was new - you might be kick out of the event:) at least you wont get so much points.

Extreme Veteran Posts: 566 Location: Wichita, Kansas | Chrys 68, that F, and everything else you have shown, is just plain spectacular. The metal work is fantastic. Please post as many restoration photos as you can, they never get old. Just one complaint, though. You can not, and I mean can. not., show only a photo of a 60 Polara motor and front grille emblem, and no more. That is cruel and unusual punishment! Please, when you have time, show more of that Cocoa Polara.
