| Simon,
I was looking for example data plate and have an answer for you. Actually I am encouraged as your data plate looks similar to what is on the car I am looking at.
309 is a three tone combination with Regimental Red below contour molding, Cloud White above contour molding, and a Black roof. Sounds like a pretty car!
This link details decoding of 2 and 3 tone paint for 1956 Chryslers.

Location: Sarpsborg, Norway | Model 46= New Yorker St. Regis 2dht
Paint 309= Cloud White Body, Regimental Red lower sides and Raven Black roof
Trim 21= Medium Grey Brocatelle Cloth and White leather. Your dash should also be light and medium grey with a grey dashpad
Sched 026= Planned to be built the 10th month and the 26th day
Item 1372= I'm not sure, but I think this is a ID number for the car on the assembly line. The VIN where issued at last and handwritten on the IBM punch card.
The option codes I still haven't managed to decode yet |
