| Went to a Mopar show today and met a guy with a 1959 DeSoto Firedome 4-door hardtop with a removable roof. Leave it on and it looks pretty normal, take it off and it's a faux convertible. Interesting vehicle. Don't know what he's asking for it, but I have a contact number if someone wants it. Car is located in south New Mexico.

Location: The Mile High City | Neat! Was that the MoPar Fest at Rio Rancho? That is a neat idea for a four-door hardtop. I wonder how much the top weighs on that bad boy! With the back glass in, that has to be pretty hefty. Do you have any photos of the top off? |

| The whole top lifts right off. For the first half of the show, he had it laying behind the car. By the time I got back around with my camera, it was back on the car. I didn't see what the process of removing it requires or how heavy it is. |

Location: Parts Unknown | I am curious how nicely finished it was in the way it kept the whole top from
lifting off at speed ? This could be a real botch job, or someone showing off some
serious skills.

Location: Williams California | Hopefully the chassis was reinforced, as the roof is a structural component in these cars.
Interesting idea, nonetheless.
