Expert Posts: 2596 Location: Upplands Väsby, Sweden | There was tough competition in conv class 1953-63. But Forward Look cars lay on top (there was among them a fine Bonneville 58 that ended without the podium) 2x 59 Dodge conv ended up outside also got no prize this year. Results (super nice cars) 1 Adventure 1958 conv 2 New Yorker in 1958 conv (Project bought from France in 2009?) 3 DeSoto Firesweep 1958conv And 1 price in Custom a Chrysler 1960 Edited by Windsor59 2013-07-10 4:52 AM (DSC_0576.jpg) (DSC_0577.jpg) (DSC_0568.jpg) (DSC_0569.jpg) (Adv 58.jpg) (Adv 1958.jpg) (DSC_0546.jpg) (DSC_0551.jpg) (DSC_0585.jpg) (DSC_0545.jpg) (DSC_0547.jpg) (DSC_0581.jpg) (DSC_0594.jpg) (DSC_0560.jpg) (DSC_0561.jpg) Attachments ---------------- DSC_0576.jpg (176KB - 230 downloads) DSC_0577.jpg (164KB - 199 downloads) DSC_0568.jpg (126KB - 189 downloads) DSC_0569.jpg (74KB - 214 downloads) Adv 58.jpg (94KB - 191 downloads) Adv 1958.jpg (142KB - 200 downloads) DSC_0546.jpg (140KB - 221 downloads) DSC_0551.jpg (196KB - 216 downloads) DSC_0585.jpg (161KB - 196 downloads) DSC_0545.jpg (181KB - 229 downloads) DSC_0547.jpg (222KB - 206 downloads) DSC_0581.jpg (218KB - 196 downloads) DSC_0594.jpg (149KB - 196 downloads) DSC_0560.jpg (143KB - 195 downloads) DSC_0561.jpg (176KB - 216 downloads)

Location: Bjorneborg, Finland | Those immaculate '58 convs are surely better than when they left factory as new! If somebody ask my opinion for that '60 Chrysler custom, so lets say it's a tasteless and horrifying sight.

Location: Parts Unknown | I did know a 58 Adv ragtop existed in black and gold. My old one had a black top, but o/w was the same car. Nice to see these cars. Thanks for posting. Rosie, I can't tell if you are just such a bubbly-happy personality or not, but I suspect you'd say you like a plastic recycling bin if someone put fins on it and posted a photo !

No worries, Jon...I long ago discovered the joys of the "ignore this poster" feature on the Control Panel. I'm oblivious, so have fun and do yer worst, Doc!

Expert Posts: 3575 Location: Netherlands | I wonder why most of the convertible top's were up despite the good weather? Was it mandatory for showjudging to have the tops up? On the 5th pic from above, I can't help but noticing the transmission coolerlines looking so 'hand-bend'. Anyone know if that's how they came like this back then? No factory preformed cooler lines?
