I have some gravel guards for a 61 Plymouth 4 door suburban. Can they also be used on a two door Suburban? How about other two door body types, and what other years will they fit? Thanks

I would like to understand what the different variations in stone guards were as it can be difficult to figure out and keep track of. According to the '55-'58 parts list, there are variations according to:

55-56 Dodge Suburban
56 Dodge
57 Plymouth
Early 57 Dodge
57 Plymouth, DeSoto, Chrysler. Also Late 57-58 Suburban
Early 57 Plymouth, Dodge DeSoto, Chrysler Suburbans
Late 57-58 Dodge, Chrysler, DeSoto
58 Plym
57-58 Imperial

Apparently there were no stone guards made for the '55-'56 Plymouth, DeSoto or Chrysler. But this list is confusing because the Late Dodge parts list the DeSoto & Chrysler as using the same part, but lists them as C75 & C76 (All Chrysler models), but makes no mention of DeSoto or the '58 versions at all. Makes no sense. I wonder if it meant to say all senior body cars instead. Who knows.
All vehicles with more than one possible stone guard:
57 Plymouth (2)
57 Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler (2)
57 Suburbans (2) Late vs. Early

I would bet that all of these variations are Early vs. Late model changes in the '57 model year.
Does anyone have pictures to associate with these early vs. late versions and Plymouth vs. Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler? Also, how do the '59 fit in with these? Are they the same as '58?
