Greenleaf, Lowrider, Graveyard, Witchcraft, Blowback, Dozer, Firestone, Truckfighters etc. This fuzz rock genre started with Kyuss in California near where I live, but Sweden has a lot more good bands that continue on with it.

Expert Posts: 2308 Location: The Bat Cave, Fairborn, OH | Interesting article I agree, but I didn't see one picture of a restored American car of any kind in it. The writer must not have been a car person as there are supposed to be hundreds of old American cars over there that have been lovingly restored and put in car shows regularly. My paternal great-grandfather sailed from Goteborg too in 1888. We still have his passport and other documents. I have no real reason to go there for a visit, besides which it's cold for 7 months out of the year. These old bones need heat to keep them happy. Edited by 58 DESOTOS RULE 2013-09-15 2:28 PM

I'd like to know who the owner is of the Black '58 NY'er vert with Spruce interior in that overhead shot, I'm pretty sure that was the one I owned in the 1980s, and I believe the only one ever built in that color combo... Expert Posts: 2308 Location: The Bat Cave, Fairborn, OH | I really love the 1959 Dodges. The ones with the two tone paint are my favourites. What are those colors? Coral and Ruby? I once had a 1959 Dodge Coronet 4-door sedan painted blue, but it wasn't as nice as these Swedish ones appear to be. My car had a 325 V-8 and 3 speed manual transmission so it could keep up with traffic. It wasn't very plush though; no power steering or brakes. It even had the rubber floor mat instead of carpet. But it was a runner. What is this thing that you posted a picture of? It looks like an aircraft tug that was made to pull planes around on the tarmac with a pullbar at your average airport. I'll bet the ride in that thing is hellish because of the short wheelbase. No idea what manufacturer made it I suppose? Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 13045 Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | Those are called "EPA-tractors" Stephen. The history started during the war - practically, it's a shortened car with two gearboxes that limits the speed to maximum 30 km/hour, still with 4 gears and reverse. Nowadays all the motor interested young ones (having parents that can afford) have their own EPA-tractors. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doodlebug_tractor Edited by wizard 2013-09-30 11:28 AM

Elite Veteran Posts: 673 Location: Malung, SWEDEN | "Epatraktorn" is an excellent gateway to the car hobby. Young people may start to drive and build a car at an early age. From the age of fifteen, it is legal to drive but only in 30 km / h. The cars can be run much faster and it is common in rural areas where the police is rarely seen. Most car builders in Sweden have started with "epatraktor". The pink car in the picture is originally a Volvo Duett and the proud crew is 15 years. Fun, fun, fun!
