I feel its a bit prudish, but I think this section SHOULD be about f/look mopars

I like other makes as well and I certainly enjoy seeing them, but not here (in this section)

There is a miscellaneous section for cars or whatever that are not f/l cars for sale

A section somewhere for cars that are not for sale and not f/l cars would be cool too, but (as said) there are plenty of all make sites around (HAMB for example) that cater for this

The heading for this section specifies that the cars be f/l only

Information is knowledge - if this site should be mixed up with other cars than the FL-era cars, that would mean that the posts about other MoPars would be lost and scattered in for many other MoPar enthusiasts a "black hole".

Better then that the Cuda, Charger and other great Mopar owners posts in their appropriate forums so that their fellow owners can get the information where they suppose it could be found.

I'm not that interested of the muscle car era, but if I would have been I would clearly go to those forums for to share and get information.

We even have problems to search and find our own posts about the FL cars sometimes - imagine if we should deal with all the other era's as well.

I now see that my response to this question may be washed under by the huge tide of popular opinion. Be that as it may, I would like to cast my strongest vote for keeping the site dedicated to the iconic forward look style of autos.

No disrespect to anyone's vehicle of choice but to me this is a forum for our era of cars. Every time I do a search for my dart for info it always pulls up the a body versions of the make. I know what forum I can come to for info on forward look cars, it'd be a disappointment to see the info here diluted down with info on other cars that already have other forums already. If I ever own an a body dart I'll join a site for that, same as a c or b body. My vote would be fowrd look only, love 62 to 65 stuff as well but this isn't the forum for it, they already exist. Imo -joe

My apologies I think I misunderstood. Still new to this site. Maybe a sub category wouldn't be bad, I thought we were talking about the forum as a whole. I'd like to see alot of stuff here that people are or have done, but honestly I could really car less about 70 s or 80s cars. It may be kinda annoying to see a bunch of diplomats or vehicles you see all the time posted here

I do remember that Chuck

I do still think the same as I said above though

A new section called "members other rides" would be cool

And as we seem to be on some moving company (or whatever) spam list, how about a movers and shakers section as well

I like the fact I can open this website and look at Mopar FL cars specifically. Like others have stated there are so many other forums, magazines, even car shows that are so full of chevy and ford stuff its hard to find Mopars. I vote for FL mopars. I don't mind the occasional photo bomb of cars in a background or foreground that are not FL but have some Fl material in there. I like rods, muscle cars, classics, and customs in general but this site is specific and I like that about it.

The local car shows here in SoCal are so full of GM and Ford stuff I get bored after 5-10 minutes because there are no FL mopars and only a handful of the 60's to early 70's if that. Very rare to see a 426 hemi powered beast So this website is the next best thing.

I've been through this on other sites and FB pages. And not just car related stuff. When you have a site that is vehicle specific, the main parts of it need to stay pure or else it will just turn into a jumble. You have to be nice about it but it's just the way to do it. I have cars from several eras, all mopars but I'll only talk about my 300F here. This has always been a great place to see FL cars and get help from other enthusiasts.

Now if we can just straighten out if a '62-3 Imperial is a FL car. I vote yes!

I think the '62 and '63 Imperials should be included.

I agree......along with the '62 Chryslers........I know I've opened the door to a lot of objections on this one, but VE still had an influence on that final design despite the corporate interference......

I have a '58 imperial Crown and a '62 300 convertible........both great cars.......

I've said this before the forwardlook culture built into this forum is a one of, there's no other forum with this much genuine interest amongst their members. In todays world the social media has created an general outward appearance of phaeacian [big word] in most of our cultures. So to carry on the tradition I'm certainly in the forward look column

Based on this story, I would say that this forum should be limited to 55 to 61, the years of the cars that Exner led the designs of. He can't be blamed for the 62s. Anything later isn't forward look.

"In 1956, during the design of the 1961 models, Exner suffered a heart attack. He resumed work in 1957, working on the designs for the 1962 cars. On July 25, 1957, Exner was elected the first Vice President of Styling at Chrysler. Unfortunately, a rumor that GM was reducing the size of their cars caused the President of Chrysler, Lester Lum ("Tex") Colbert, to order Exner to do the same to his 1962 design — a change Exner disagreed with, thinking it would make his cars "ugly." Exner with his associates had completed work on the second full-sized finless Plymouth since 1955, this one for 1962, described as a strikingly attractive automobile. While he was still recovering from the heart attack, the 1962 models Exner took credit for were downsized by associates. This downsizing drastically changed the cars' appearance. This reduced the cars' appeal and caused a significant drop in sales. It turned out that the Chevrolet rumor was false and consumers disliked the smaller Plymouth and Dodge cars introduced for 1962, the styling of which was bizarre compared to more sedate Ford and GM products. Needing a scapegoat, Chrysler fired Exner. He was allowed to retain a position as a consultant so he could retire with pension at age 55. He was replaced by Elwood Engel, who had been lured from Ford. Engel was highly regarded for his design of the classic 1961 Lincoln Continental.[4]"

I would say FL only, but I just picked up a 62 300 and 2 63 300s. To me those are still FL cars? Also 62 63 imperials. If I want to see A,B,E bodies I will go to those sites. I would agree with a C body section though. My 2 cents
