Christmas TV was so bloody boring this year ( as always ) that I nearly wore out my remote, zapping off all the repeats and old films we've all seen a zillion times before,
that it made me wonder if other blokes share my dislike of those so called "reality" shows that are so pathetic and obviously fake...Here are my killswitch regulars,,

American Digger....BOOM BABY !!! "Look what I just found",,,, his mate replies "But Fatbollocks, it's only an old Ford air cleaner".." "Yeah, but look what's inside"...
The camera zooms in to show us that the air filter is full of rare coins...Later at the Antique shop, proprieter says "Wow Fatbollocks these are Mega rare and I'll pay you $65,000.00"
Complete and utter crap...

Toy Hunter...I just found Barbie Doll #00001, paid $30 for it and sold it for $4,000.00. not only was it the first Barbie ever made, but it was even more rare 'cos only had one tit..
Complete and utter crap...

Storage Hunter....Brrrrrr what am I bid.... Brrrr$500..... Brrrrrr$1,000.00..... Brrrrr SOLD, $2,250.00....Later on we join the lucky "winners" as they start delving into the storage they have just bought
" Hey what's under that sheet at the back wall"?....Matey pulls the sheet off, camera zooms in...."OH, Holy Cow, it's a brand new Harley Davidson"!!!
Complete and utter crap..

Baggage Battles....Same scenario as Storage Hunter,,but even worse
Complete and utter crap...

Dog the girly haired Bounty Hunter....I can't find words to slag off this inane dross...(How come his top heavy wife never topples over?)
Complete and utter crap...

Lizard Lick Towing...How come nobody gives him a good hiding? He's been confronted so many "fake" times....
Complete and utter crap...

Orange County Choppers...Viewer ratings are falling....."let's have one of our silly pretend arguments, then the camera can follow me as I slam the door, and wheelspin out of the car park"
Then that fat useless girly hair moron Mikey can "attempt" to make us all laugh with his unfunny antics..
Complete and utter rubbish..

Two and a half men..
Frazier..
Cheers..
American Football.. (Known as girls rugby in UK )

Can't disagree. Those are all crap. You left out the "lets restore a car" shows. They find an abandoned 56 whatcamacallit that's been in a barn for 50 years and buy it for $2000. Then they put together a repair budget of $4000. For that they get an entire interior redo and replacement with genuine original fabric, a full engine rebuild with HiPo parts, down to bare metal body work followed by 12 coats of paint and all the bumpers replated and still have $100 left over. Then they sell it for $20 grand inside of 3 days. And the whole thing from finding the car to the final sale only takes a week.

Yep, we get pretty much all of those as well

I also turn of all of the stupid talent shows, beuty and the geek, marry my son or whatever, all of that crap

Tonight is a good example, I am on here now because the best bit of telly thats on is die hard (for the thousanth time)

If I could be bothered going through the thousands of movies that my wife has here, I could watch one of them, but then, it would still be one I have already seen

Should go out and plug away at the dodge

I'm happy with my internet connection and Netflix. I'm in Canada and subsribe to unblock-us.com (a whopping 5 bucks/month) which allows me to change my region. That way I can watch Netflix UK, Mexico, US, etc etc.

What's this TV thing of which you speak?

Seriously, if it weren't for my wife's viewing addiction, the television would seldom be on. I watch two or three movies a week, some NASCAR racing, and an hour of FOX News on week nights. My only venture into reality shows is an occasional Judge Judy, and I only do that to remind myself what's wrong with America. Oh, yes, I do watch NCIS and Longmire, but they are the only series on my viewing schedule. The rest of my leisure viewing is from the pages of a good novel.

I'm with you guys on it and Fred's ( Diesel45 ) thoughts are pretty much what I think of it all.

It's all set up for so called "entertainment " with not too much ( if at all ) reality as such anywhere in it.

I remember seeing ( on you tube I think ?? ) a scene of one of those car repossesions/truck towing away sort of so called reality shows taken by someone ( maybe in the crew, maybe a bystander ?? ) filming slightly off scene with a cell phone ?? hidden camera ??? when the main actor was doing his normal aggressive ( I'm taking this car and it's going NOW !! ) kind of thing and the car owner wasn't putting up too much of an argument over it ............ under acting I assume ?? ............

Ole Tow boy says "cut "and starts going off at the crew ( off main camera ) for not hiring an actor ( the car owner ) that was able to "go off " and argue/punch/fight whatever against old Tow dude about his car getting reppossed !!

His gripe was that the car owning actor ruined the scene for being too soft and the crew were to go hire another more arguementive/aggressive "car owner " ( actor ) before he tried shooting the scene again...............

On camera proof this stuff is all fecal matter !!!

Yep, thats right ........... IT'S NOT TRUE !!!!

Just remember, there are plenty of stupid people in this world that are really lucky that it's instinctive to breath , they are the target audience for these type of shows, and believe it as well !!!
