I found this one in an antique store, while I was on vacation in B.C. It was a bit pricey, but it appears to have never been used! And you don't see many with the FL emblem...

He's mine, from Merner Motors, Dodge DeSoto dealership in Wetaskiwin, Alberta, Canada:

Jeff, the former owner of my car, found it and was nice enough to send it to me. Since it's in such a nice shape, I'll put it back on its original location under the trunk of my car.

If Gillespie Blumer Madison is a law firm, then Andy's Dodge's SANZENBACHER sounds like a medieval musical instrument!

Got to get by the Phalanx mini gun turret on top of the house for starters and then ya have to deal with two mini Dolberman's (wennie dogs) which is the real test. :-)
Got the emblem off Ebay, didn't come on the car, i thought it would be a cool addition.

This was on the Saratoga when I bought it.
Not the original dealer, which was Holt Motor Company in Van Nuys, so I'm not sure how old this one, Keyes Motors in Van Nuys is.
Keyes Motors was established in 1952 and is still extant. http://www.keyescars.com/ I'm going to send them an Email and see if they know
what era the frame is from.
I have both of the black plates, this one is from the front, the rear one is in better shape but the decal area is scraped up.

Does anyone have either a dealer emblem or a license plate frame for Massey Motors in Jacksonville, FL or for any Massey dealership. Massey dealerships were all throughout Florida, usually with another name, such as 'Massey-Mingledorf', or 'Massey-Yardley', or 'Massey-Mixon', and so on.

Funny I have only seen them on the Mopar's but not any other make when I tried to look if others had them. I saw a plate from the dealer my car came from but I don't think it was like these are.

Here is mine. Doering Dodge in Greenfield Ave., Milwuakee WI. As you can see my dealer script is no longer attached to the car. I had it removed when I repainted the car many years ago (foolishly). I can not recall where it was/should be mounted. Does it go on the trunk lid or below the lid on the lower half of the rear?

I found an old photo of my car that shows the original location of the dealer tag! Which leads to a question. The original location of the dealer tag on my 1956 Dodge was the left side of the trunk lid. The right side has the "dodge" script. I took a look at the back of the trunk last night and see no way of getting to the back of the script pins due to structure panels on the back of the lid. How was this done? Did they have some sort of expanding pin thing (kind of like a dry wall anchor)? Any help / opinions appreciated.

Wow, Greg; glad you can see your dealer nameplate's location in that photo.

The dealership's service department wouldn't have spent a lot of time precisely locating that nameplate; just wanted to make sure
that it was put on straight.

There are female push-in clips that will hold the nameplate to the trunk.

You want a gutenteit fit of that clip into the trunk, but the nameplate probably should have a loose fit into the clip.

You can apply some super-glue (or, maybe flexible 'weatherstrip' glue) to the nameplate's fingers, so that it will stick into the clip, but not so much
that the nameplate couldn't be pried away/off of the clips, should you or some other owner need to remove it, for repairs and/or re-painting, in the future.

Also, if the nameplate is only 'finger' tight to the clips, you'll be able to remove it, easily, for trunk polishing, without getting all
of that excess polish lying onto the sides of the nameplate, and in the crevices around the nameplate, on the trunk.

Or at any automotive parts 'house'.

Just take along the nameplate to ensure a good, but loosey-goosey fit to those push-in mounting clips.

Man; it is a SMALL MoPar world; never realized that this was you and your car.

Photo taken a couple years ago, huh?

That´s a picture of Modern Motor Sales in Montreal, quebec. The dealership tag posted above is from Modern Motors in Toronto, Ontario, not the same dealership.

Lads --
I don't have a nameplate on the Big-Tailed Beast, but in the latest "MOPAR Action" mag (October 2014) there is a photo of the dealer, Bill Goodrow (who sold it to the original owner on February 23, 1960) receiving an award from the Chrysler Corp. (for what I have no idea). Goodrow did sponsor a '60 ram Plymouth in a few Colorado drag races back in "them der days."

I wonder if many Imperials got dealer nameplates attached to them?

Here's mine. The dealership still exists I believe. I thought about contacting them to see if they had retained any records from when the car was sold.
