not mine. rare export version, was on ebay some time ago. parked over 30 years due to an accident. look at that interior! i hope the buyer appreciates this time capsule. it only needs a new front clip and a v8 drivetrain. note bent prop shaft.

That's the standard 60 Dart upholstery cloth.....but, what were 'they' thinking, when they selected that rectilinear pattern
to go with the gentle curves of the seat trim???

The upholstery's visual effect is just jarring; it makes no sense.

Interesting time capsule, indeed..... you think they could have at least stored it with the windows rolled up.

This is the first time I've seen the interior on a 60 Diplomat. It's interesting they used the DeSoto Dash board,
which is a modified 60 Dodge dash board, but they used the Dodge steering wheel, rather than the DeSoto wheel.

I know someone that is trying to find a 1961 Desoto Diplomat. His dad had one as a child and would like to find another like it.
If anyone knows where to find one let me know and I will pass on the information!

A few photos of 1960 Diplomats for reference.

That looks very much like the 1959 style of air-ride rear suspension.

This is a great example of just how interchangeable major components were to enable "badge engineering". When these cars were built in Windsor, they got the Plymouth I/P and the rectangular steering wheel.
