Nope, standard dual quads in 57-58 only. Dealer optioned in mid-late 56 I believe.

Nope (ii); Fins is correctamundo....but, the dualies were probably first available after JAN 1956, in time for the FEB Speed weeks Daytona clambake.

Is that the correct pattern for the fabric inserts? I haven't seen a 56 Fury up close in over 40 years and was thinking the fabric was a little closer to 57-58.

AFAIK, that is the correct upholstery for a 56 Fury.

What a sweet car/restoration; tachometer, too, in it.

The 55-56 "chair height" seats are very comfortable, compared to the "chaise lounger" seats in the 57+ cars.

As a card-carrying Dodge Boy, I've had this factory sheet since 2008 (the photocopy says...)

The 56 Fury dual-quads was available as part of a sort of D-500-1 option package (but without further ft/rr springs
upgrades---altho 15x6.5" wheels and a sway bar were provided)...as part of its "High Performance Group" #362.

This package was probably available around the FEB date of the Daytona Speed Weeks, but, as you can see, its
issue date was cut-off.

Gonna see if I can get a clean, complete copy of this guy.

Its wholesale cost was $527.50 and its retail price was $694.10.

Sorry to dredge up this old thread but I found it while looking for something else and could not leave it without correcting the conjecture that the Furys went to Daytona in February 1956 with factory dual quads. They didn't.

As per the May 1956 Hot Rod magazine article, there was a dual quad Fury at the 56 Speed trials but the dual quad manifold was borrowed from a 300B (along with the carbs) and it was cobbled together on the 303 with some shop-made spacers. The resulting dual quad Fury ran as a prototype, not a stock class car. The results were outstanding, regardless.
