We installed a salvage yard turn signal switch out of a 62. Don't know if there is any difference between 61 and 62, but here is the story.

We found that the Canadian connector on the car was diffeernt than the American connector on the salavage yard unit.

Since we did not have both sides of the American connector, my Son soldered the Canadian connector/wires to the american part. He matched all wires by color.

Installed all new bulbs and verified that they light.

Here is what is happening:

Brake lights- Driver's side only lights

Rear turns signal - Driver's side blinks-passenger side lights, but does not blink

Tail lights- both work

Front turn signal- both work

Looking for information that would point to turn signal mechanism or wiring differences.

Wizard?

Thanks
