Location: Dallas,Ga. | My '58 Firesweep was missing it's data plate when I originally got it in 2005. My question is this: Can I give Chrysler historical my VIN number, and get any history for the cars original build? And, if so, does anyone reproduce data plates? It's not too big of a deal, really, but I just don't like that blank spot on the cowling! |

Location: Perth Australia | Chrysler historical can supply you the IBM card for your car (most of the time) which will have almost all the info you need on it (theres something thats not on mine, but I cant remember what)
You can then get the tag re made by AG Backeast (google it), I think its about 200 or 300 for a data tag and 450 for a vin tag, but it was a while ago that I enquired

Location: bishop, ca | Since you have a DeSoto, there's a decent chance that the DeSoto Club can use your IBM card information in order to confirm all
of the option/equipment/styling 'numbers' and their locations ON the Paint/Trim data plate, for your car.
If you had a 57-60 Dodge, I could prepare a layout/template for A. G. Backeast to follow, for them to stamp out a correctly presented
P/T plate on your car.
Even though your car was built on the Dodge assembly lines, its options/equipment, on the P/T plate, will be unique to the Firesweep
models.
