The ebay car is a clone. It does have every Fury item including hubcaps however.

Your right onto it Marc, they are a little to high in price in my opinion, that's why they have been for sale for so long, thanks heaps mate, more hoping to buy privately, not from a dealer but I don't really care where it comes from long as the price is reasonable, thanks again

Hey Mike, looking good, sounds great too! I did buy a 58 hardtop off big M and he had a 57 Fury for sale at the same time but I only had cash for one so I missed out on the Fury, so now I have a little cash saved and will be trying to chase one up

Dan,
The fellow that owns my old Fury has since installed an original Fury engine, and also replaced the rusty floor section. If you'd like, I can contact him to see if he's interested in selling it.

unfortunately some ****** needlessly ripped this apart still seems to be a great deal for a rust free straight body with all the parts. only problem its in germany. if someone here is interested i'm glad to help. COULD be the carpenter fury that was allegedly shipped to germany many years ago

The seller (Richard) is actually a friend of me.
He had the body off the frame, don't know if it's back on or not. My German is very bad but the guy is actually Dutch.
All the welding is done and the engine and tranny rebuild.
I don't know if it's a real Fury as he never ordered his build sheets which I advised him to do.
The color was very weird. More a yellow than beige. I know he bought it and imported it from the UK.

so lets hear the whole story. sorry if i overreacted but after 100s of GOOD cars i've seen that someone needlessly ripped apart completely and then "lost interest" and sold in parts in the past years... from what i heard it was a good straight rust free car, still with factory (baked on) primer. if you are into over restored clinical clean "perfect" show cars, well, its yours, but finish what you have started.

Hey Marc 80k is out of my budget and is overpriced anyway from what I can tell but each to their own, but thanks man, he can ask what he likes but its been for sale for ages so that's a decent indication that its a little to high. Buying from Germany doesn't really interest me either as I'm not familiar with their customs and import duties, transport to wherever it would be shipped from would be hard to organise especially with the language barrier. I really would like a 57 as well, I'm only gonna have the cash once to buy something so its gotta be the right one. Thanks heaps guys for the help anyway

import duties? you are exporting. no duties whatsoever from the german side. you will have to pay import duty/tax in australia.

I have to admit the German fury does look good in the body, the color seems a little off or is it just the pics? It won't let me translate so I can't read the add, some more pics would be nice.

the color, including the excellent factory primer is unfortunately history. as you can see in the picures, bare metal, that is the biggest turnoff for me.

So obviously before it went anywhere you'd have to give it a good shot of primer but other than that inspect the parts etc. for completeness load it all into a container and off you go! 23K AUS buy it now isn't that bad in my opinion... as far as its origin, Germany or the US you're still importing a car and looking at shipping costs. The language barrier is not that bad as English is very prevalent in Europe these days...
My Fury didn't come easy , something like this even with the stripped paint would have been such a treat ... but regardless of the reason this fellow had to tear into the car and disassemble it...the starting point now is a good solid body and a fully rebuilt powertrain... just my 2 cents

description sounds a bit weird. don't think the owner is german:

sale due to lack of time, car is still very "hart" (hart=tough or hard, whatever that means) and there is no bondo. some welding work done, engine and original carbs completely rebuild. car completely disassembled.
added: only the body has been disassembled, not the chassis.

so it looks like its still a rolling body/chassis assy, which would be a BIG plus for shipping. hope this helps.
