| Did any local forward look cars come out with a heater block off cover that covers the firewall where the heater box protrudes into the engine bay? I'd assume they would have only been fitted if the car was ordered as a heater delete option. I have a left hand drive '60 New Yorker and am hoping I can get hold of one as my car is missing its original heater and had a very dodgy sheetmetal firewall tacked over the top then bogged over!!
The firewall is in good condition so a cover would be an easy fix. Thanks for your help,
Kylie

| The US heater delete cars came with a stamped steel cover plate for the box, motor and valve to firewall. Many of our local cars in NZ never had factory heaters fitted and the firewall was never stamped for them either as if they got a heater it was an elcheapo local underdash unit (Smiths). So you'll need to look to the US and they are very, very hard to find I looked for months/years for my '58 Chrysler one. The desert climate states are your best bet, I'd try John at Big M in Cali first off......
