Nice to see it's coming back to the west coast. I'm 95% sure this car was sold out of portland, OR a few years ago. It must be the same car..

Good work Paul! Looks like a real nice Plymouth. Keep us up to date, and photos in the members area please when you get the car home.

Did you find the car in my post above? If so, that makes me part owner, right?

Steve.

I think the 57 Firesweep nose clip and a 59 Sweep rear bumper would be a real good looking modification to
do to a car like this. Add a 59 Plymouth toilet seat, ... perfection !

This is indeed the same car that was for sale 5 years ago: http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=27620

It is one of the best looking cars I've ever seen. A wonderful vehicle!! Congrats on the purchase, Paul! (I'm jealous! haha)

I almost bought this car 5 years ago. At least it Is back in CA. Maybe I'll have a crack at again someday. I would almost be willing to trade my 58 Adventurer for it. It is in my favorite color and I prefer the 57 over the 58 Ply.

Paul -

Did you make him an offer after the auction ended ? If you look on ebay, it says that it didn't sell.

Well, afterall, I've heard it said that the Firesweep IS the "Car of Kings" (or something like that).

Why anyone would want a boring old non-hybrid car makes no sense to me !

I paid his reserve. Not much higher than the high bid. Been wanting this car for decades! And a nice survivor it is. Going to sell my 60 buick and either my 59 caddy or 57 merc to cover it.
