I thought there was some kind of additive we had to use for sure grip??? At least for the 58 early ones.

Any auto supply will have limited-slip additive as will your local GM dealer under part number 88900330

I've never had to buy the additive seperatly.
You just get the correct oil, usually labeled as Limited Slip oil, or a "LS" type gear oil.

I use Royal Purple gear lube. It includes additives for limited slip differentials. If you are not using any additive and do not think you have a problem, I would suggest that your lim. slip is no longer working due to burnout.
