Hi Dave
What a pleasure to hear, yes mine is or will regain its original color. Which, incidentally, I think is incredibly beautiful and suitable to the interior. I will come back to you with pictures when I have the opportunity. My undergoes renovation, so be sure she gets her former glory back one day. It was nice to hear from you,,, seeing ya around...

Now if we could relate that to the VIN of your C, which does not appear on the data tag, it would be helpful. Thanks.

Michael, Here's a link to pic's of my C when she got her new quarters a few years back.
The body shop took them while work was in progress.
Sad part is, it hasn't progressed much further than that since then.
I've got to get motivated to get this project wrapped up soon.
Enjoy!!

Michael, I am having a problem placing your car in the production records. The "SCH" (schedule) date for production of the car is March 19, 1957, and the "BODY" (body number) fits into others at that date. However the driver's door hinge pillar VIN number you provide of 1334 would have been built at the end of January. Have you written down the VIN number incorrectly? Has the stainless steel VIN tag been off of the car and reattached with screws or pop rivets?

This was Michael's car when at McPherson College in Kansas.   I took the tour, including their "future projects" and saw this car.   A couple years later I worked a trade to help them put the correct grille into it and I now have the E grille shown.   Nicely optioned car that he will enjoy putting back on the road.
