The 4dr HT is rare. Ya don't see many 4dr HT. However, it's not worth 10k.

This could be a good car and with good negosiating skills, could be bought for a realistic price, but I think you would have to do some leg work to prove to the seller what the car is worth

Might turn into one of those good survivor cars

Keys are not an issue. The owner is WAY WAY off on his price. These type of people sometimes get mad when you confront them about it being overpriced. Too far from me to even call about.

I spoke with the grandson and said it could be bought for 5k. With all the work it would need he's probably @ 2k too high. IMO Steph's video of the 4dr HT was cool and showed what one of these cars look like going down the road.

She is a neat car, the red over white hardtop is cool. The 2-speed is neat, too. I'm wondering if he'll drop the price over time.

The grandson said someone had made him an offer but he didn't disclose the "offer" price. The back glass on the video shows how cool that car looks being a 4dr HT.

Kinda weird options: PF tranny, PS, clock, windshield washer. I think it might have Mascara. To many unknowns with it not being started for 30 years. $2500 would be tops for me. $2500 is even a little high. He did say that he found the title. That would be great car to be featured in the Carlisle show in July.

If the engine rotates and the trans fluid is red and depending on rust issues, which it looks pretty good, this would be a 3500-5000 car if it's what I was looking for. But I for sure don't need any more projects. I think this car would clean up and run just fine. Wheel cylinders, fluids flush, freeze plugs, tune, tires, clean and polish and you would have a cherry of a 61 Fury.

I'm thinking $2500 because of ALL of the work and parts that it needs. Then there is the issue of transportation costs. Just my opinion.

It is Rogers car. He expressed to me of not wanting to advertise on here mainly because a good bit of people on here have a model"T" mentallity Which i am sure some can follow. I feel what he is asking for the car is in line and worth it. But goes back to what i said few lines prior. Then makes you wonder"why do these cars go overseas"

What is "a Model T mentality" ? I have a Model T, but can't figure out what the "mentality" would be,
.... unless it involves 20hp engines and going really slow !!!

Now he is down to 8k. I spoke with him again and he is not budging off of 5k. YET!!!. It is still a 2500-3000 car in my mind. Its still to far away for me to walk up with CASH.

Not sure he would go lower than 5K

He mentions that its got 20K worth of parts in it (maybe it does, but bet he couldnt realise that value)

This car will probably end up with a few nice parts sold off it and the rest crushed (without getting to what he is asking)

Best thing this guy could do is to get it out of the garrage, wash it and take more pictures

I see a diamond in the rough here, but I would want to inspect the car before an offer was made

Then again, if it was a 60, I would be a lot more tempted

The 4dr HT owner may be talking about me and my offers under 5k. He needs an education in auto mechanics to realize that he is way to high. I told you some people get MAD and this person is an uneducated seller who in his words owns a RARE car!!! He says he needs to sell it. I guess he missed that day of Business 101!!!

There are only a handful of Forward Look cars that you cannot shop around for a better
deal on.

About the only exception to this would be a personal "must have" situation where the
buyer just wants THAT car.

Otherwise, ... how many people really want a 4 door Fury bad enough to pay that kind
of money for one ?

The seller says its RARE!!! lmao It would be nice to have and $2500 with all the work it needs plus transportation costs is a fair price. To someone who wants it it will probably be worth $3500. But at $3500 you will be married to it.

Let's define "rare" ....

Rare like a fuel injected 58 Adventurer convertible ?

.... or rare like a car you will wait forever to see drive by your house ?

This car MAY be the latter, but it definitely is not the former. Some people
cannot tell the difference.

Unfortunately, this condition often coincides with ownership and an interest
to sell.

The best way for this seller to get anywhere near what he is asking is to pump up the tyres, drag the car out of the garrage and was and polish it, get the engine running, take photos as a survivor car and watch the bids come in

The 4-drHT is an interesting car.

It looks like the body may be in very solid shape. But IF there is no body or floor rot AND the chrome is in nice shape, it might be well worth the $5K price. One would have to see it in person to verify.

I'm tempted. If I didn't already have 2 projects...

spots say whatever i offer you is better than letting it rot away 4 more years or crushing it -ill get it running - i have

a 61 coupe - make it shine and be a daily driver - take this - 2500 - 3000 cash..... all he cares about is money..

if he cared about it hed at least air up the tires push it out and try to get it running......

I am surprised no one has had a look yet

If it is really good, it would have to be a pretty easy restoration or a quick clean and flip
