we want to change the power steering box in plymouth 1960 with 6 zylinder and manuel transmissio
we had to pull the steering jacket to remove the pin from the shaft
our problem is how to dismantle the transmission control rod

I didnt think you could have a manual transmission with power steering?
If its manual steering, the centre shaft (the actual steering column) stays atatched to the steering box and you have to slide the jacket (the outer painted part) up and off the column
Not sure how the manual linkage holds on (I havnt seen one)
The steering box is then bought out from under the car
