Expert Posts: 3575 Location: Netherlands | On my '60 NY, the leftside was a center dump manifold, but I haven't got any good pics of the pass.side. I'm thinking to recall it ended at 3/4. Maybe others with stock setups will know for sure.

This is correct per my recent 413 install in my 61 pioneer. Also remember, there is another set of holes on the frame mounting pads for the BB position. Sometimes it's filled with muck and appears to not be there, but they are there. Edited by 61forfun 2015-03-29 12:14 PM

Expert 5K+ Posts: 8947 Location: WHEELING,WV.>>>HOME OF WWVA | thanks guys , the 383 frame mount holes should be the same as the 383 but i could very well be wrong and yes there are two bolt down positions . my biggest concern was that the exhaust flange would somehow hit the frame mount with the 64 left side ex-manifold i'm wanting use . i have a complete 64 383 under my work bench . i really didn't want to retrieve it as it in in under tight but i did . the relationship on the 64 with mount clearance is clear once i could move the motor and have a see . the ex-flange is higher than a poly , letting it miss the mount . so for now it looks good to go . the right side i'll be using a big block one with the gen. mount ,,,,,, because i just like the idea of keeping the gen. . i just talked to the freight co. and the motor should be here tomorrow . they seem to be a good shipping co. to deal with and delaying the delivery while i was a little under the weather . the shipping co. is YRC FREIGHT . i tried a shipper from here on this site but his area wasn't in the realm of my needs---------------------------------------------later ps. my next wants are probably going to be at least a water pump pulley but that will be a wait and see . the poly pulley may be a little too tall Edited by 60 dart 2015-03-30 2:03 PM

Expert Posts: 1506 Location: Colo Spgs | Hola All As overly stated The 1960 Left Side is a "center dump" and The Right is about "3/4's Back. Because of a Change of Frame and Steering Design - The Left Exhaust Manifolds which Are Not a "center dump" will not fit the Designed Space of a 1960 Unit Body Chrysler - De Soto - Dodge or Plymouth. Exhaust Manifold Hint ----- The Exhaust Manifolds for a 1978 - 1972 Dodge Truck using the MoPar 400 will bolt into the Designed Space and flow slightly better that what MoPar used for 1967 - 1971 HP 383's or 440's ( http://www.1aauto.com/exhaust-manifold/i/1aeem00081?f=378652 ) . Rodger & Gabby COS psst No Hammer'ing to make a lil dent/ notch. Edited by Rodger 2015-04-01 1:22 AM

Expert 5K+ Posts: 8947 Location: WHEELING,WV.>>>HOME OF WWVA | by the way left center dump looked bolted up it looks to be good and i'll be trying it for the time being . if it doesn't work , i'll be the first or maybe the second to tell ya it didn't . about the only thing that could be possibly in the way , is the edge of the frame mount -------------------------------------later
