Hi all...I have a 60 desoto adventurer 2 dr ht....and Looking to replace worn out electrical components..but need some help identifying them and possible leads on where to get them.

There are three components

1. large black box (generator regulator) have one already
2. the small silver cylinder...looks like a resister for radio maybe?
3. Starter relay...just found one on ePay

So looking for a new silver cylinder..(radio noise depressor)???

Thanks for the help.

The round cylinder is not a resistor, it's a capacitor. That's to shunt rf noise to ground caused by the brushes on the generator and the arcing that happens when the points inside the regulator are in operation. The system will work without it but will ruin am radio reception.

I think I need one of these also. It was on the top of my generator for a 1957 Plymouth 301cu. Any suppliers?
