Looking to get the correct lead coil wire lead from the coil to the distributor., but there are several on ebay various lengths, some really short, some longer...the coil sits very close to the distributor...

I have the stock distributor (383)., does anyone have a picture of one (coil wire) installed on their car?? and or a picture of the wire?., assuming the wire goes through the dist.bhousing and connects to the points, then the other end to the neg. part of the coil.

Second issue: Looking for the vacuum advance insert that goes into the end of housing...Went to three different parts stores to get it and they are all fine thread...and this one is a corse thread... it threads into the end of the vacuum advance module...there are actually two., one threads into the vac. advance., then there is another that threads into that and it has a nipple on the end to slide on a rubber hose for the vacuum advance to the side of the carb....so I am looking for the outer one. it has to be the same "nipple size" as the one that is threaded into the carb. so I can use one size hose.

Any 383 gurus will know what I am talking about.

Thanks., Guy

Gary Goers has the primary distributor wire.

Are the threads in the vacuum pot straight or tapered pipe?

The treads are straight, I threaded it onto one of the store displays and it was a coarse thread (I unscrewed the end and took it in with me)...but everything at the parts stores are fine thread.

What is the actual thread size/pitch? There are straight thread fittings with a nipple, the one below is too big but illustrates the style.
