Could be worth a fly/drive

I does drive fine, just a first or hard brake application will wake you up

Not really that much to do to it to keep it a driver, the A/C is excellent (I fixed it last summer )

The trimming has been re done in good quality (= thick) materials, steering wheel has fine cracks, but not falling apart

I am tempted to buy it myself, but I dont need it

Chuck

Its rare here (and r/h/d), but I have been watching a lot of collector cars not sell in the last few months here

I dont think anyone has much faith in the economy (my own work has slowed considerably) and I believe the seller is having the same problem, thats why the car is for sale

by asking why he was selling . when i first saw the sale up , i said to myself , no can't be but it surely is------------------------------------------later

I think your talking about Flamin.J polara?

This one is a phoenix over on this side of the country

Very few people here would know what a polara was, let alone a phoenix (although most middle aged people would have heard of a phoenix, but would picture the mid 60 to 70s box barges)

Unless someone has a desire for 1 particular car, I think most collector cars are categorized by the general viewers as just cool cars an would pay the exact same price for any of them

The thing the seller has to try and do is make that cool car they are selling more desirable in the mind of the buyer than all the other cool cars out there

Hard thing to do, but a big reason a lot of red cars are red

That polara looked like it needed a lot of work, but I think it would sell, but hard to sell for the asking (even with the extras), when a search of the cool cars will find completed, running something or anothers for the same price

I think he would be better off trying to sell the stuff separately, but I dont know the exact condition of the rest of the stuff, so I dont know

This red phoenix is a good example at $17000, not a show car, but a very presentable street car, just get in and drive

Hi there.
Chuck yes you did sell me some very good stuff..thank you..the polara went up for sale because of space issues..unfortunatly there was absolutely no interest in the car..ill be putting it away to sort out later..I've found it hard to get the parts required to complete and postage in most cases from the us is more than the actual part. .
Thanks for the interest here but unfortunatly in australia there isnt any

I couldnt afford to buy you out of your polara and all the stuff with it, but I sure would like to

Theres not one thing you advertised that didnt get my interest and I think your ask is entirely on the money (so to speak)

Freight really is a killer (even to ship east to west here) and it seems that no one has all that you need at one time, so your forever buying 1 bit from here, 1 bit from there and it really adds up

I am sure the resto on my phoenix would have cost 1/3 less if freight was taken out of it

If I still lived in Melbourne, I would have paid you a visit with a trailer on tow

Oh well, what it is, is what it is
