| OK so I've ditched the idea of using a later model 727 trans behind the 301 in my 57 Plaza. It has the 6 cylinder (dead) with the 3-speed manual (good) now. Will this 301 bolt to the manual trans? Any idea what parts I'll need to source? |

Location: Alaska | The 57 3 speed will fit behind the 301 but it (and even the V-8 trans.) were very weak. Mopar did not use a HD 3 sp. until the BW T-85 in 1960. When I bought my first 57 Fury, it had been converted to a manual 3 sp. and I broke several of those early trans. with just a 318. Of course, I was pretty hard on them. |

| The V8 trans has a higher 1st gear and more robust syncros. |
