These wayfarers and royals are pretty rare, our market was/is nothing like the US market

Location: Melbourne, Australia		These are the ones , but he said he doesn't want to sell them at the moment . I know they would be expensive if he were to sell them as they are rare as anything . This is not his car , but has the same set of these caps . They were a factory spinner cap with the forward look logo . They were an accessory offered by Mopar/Chrysler in late 50s early 60s cars in Australia only to my knowledge . I have only ever seen 4 sets in my time .

I might have one or two of the standard caps, but they would be rough. I think they were all used as dog dishes back in the day!

In Australia the hub cap is the hub cap, the shell which covers the wheel nuts etc with its ability to clip over lumps or lugs that are part of the wheel centre.

Beyond that you can use a couple of names that will be readily identified by Australians:

Wheel trims

Dress rings or rims

These are often held in place by the hub cap.

The ones on the first AP3 hearse above (and on the linked thread) are complete caps with the dress rim included, these are held in place by many clips around the outside which grip on the inside of the wheel rim.

I'm pretty sure, by the way, that the first Royals were built in 1957, maybe very late 1956. They were the AP1, the AP2 followed in '58 and the AP3 was from 1960 to '63 (or until stocks ran out).

The green Wayfarer has dress rims which appear to have slots, but I'm betting they are just pressed indentations which are painted matt black.
