So, I'm planning to put front buckets in my 61 Windsor, and while I like the 300 style seats, I want something with a headrest and the hardware to mount shoulder straps.

Any suggestions?

Buy a 70s car

Just my opinion, but high back seats look wrong in early cars

A contrary, but positive opinion.

Buy an 80’s car and take the seats out and use them.

Yeah, is a truck and the headrests are removed, but it’s cool, seats are from 2000 Intrepid.

Chrysler Sebring/200 convertible seats have what you want with their integrated shoulder belts. The set I have in my '64 Valiant convertible have been recovered with stock looking vinyl and only purists notice that they aren't original from the factory.

Interesting idea Gary

I have wondered about seats with intergrated seat belts as I am not really a fan of lap only belts

Could you post pictures of it please

These are from a '97 Sebring. The earlier seats are better, as the module that contains the inertia switch and power source is located under the console, whereas the later versions are part of the body control module. You can make your own, but the OEM module is easy to install and rewire for the older cars.

Those look fantastic!

I noticed that the bottom, plastic, portion of the seat is also matching. How did you pull that off? Paint?

I imagined the worst thinkable - sloppy installation of worn out seats from a newer car, totally misplaced - to my surprice I see a very nice adaptation that really melts in to the car interior.
Very well done!!!

I used the same stock color paint as was used on the dash, but added a flex agent after first applying a plastic primer the paint supplier recommended.

Thanks, wizard. If I modify anything I always try to make it look like something that might have come from the factory.
