Come January the Phoenix will be fully on the roads. So if you see me coming waving my arms out the windows and screaming the brakes are out and the steering wheel has fallen off, get the hell out of the way.

Fix your brakes, tighten the steering wheel nut, drive it like you stole it and post some pictures

Well I THINK I fixed the brakes... but... I fixed it so... you know... Good thing I looked all that over. The backs were good to go but the front was a freakin' mess! 11x2" on the passenger side and 11x2.5" on the drivers side. The drivers side spindle was all kinds of messed up! My parts car had 11x3" c-body stuff on it, so that's on the car now. Mind you, the only thing I re-used from the parts car were the spindles, backing plates and the drums. Everything else is new.

I took the steering wheel nut off and tried to remove the steering wheel, it wouldn't budge... :/ so i just gave up and put the nut back on because i'm lazy.

Photos.. you guys have seen it in other threads but in case you haven't. Here's Rattle Can.

Actually I just realized I can share the entire album I made of all the photos I shot of the work I did on the car over the summer. So sit down and have a laugh.

They are. They were on my Seneca parts car, but the part number on the lower steering arm points to '64 C-body. Honestly I think the 11x2.5" total contact brakes are a better design than the chrysler 11x3 jobs but I use what I have!

The looks of that thing are "haunting!"  It needs a machine gun mounted on the hood with dash-mounted controls.

M1919 or M2?

The guy I bought the car from has a "gun car", his take on a mad max machine. He's been fired from jobs just for driving it to work! Cops called, spoken too. The cops were actually pretty cool in every case, but the employers fired him anyway! None of the "guns" were even remotely real, just a collection of industrial blower parts, tubing, and wire mesh. Looked real enough to freak people out though!

I should have put guns on my '64 Polara. Remove the emblems at the front top of the fenders and replace them with barrels with flash supressor/compensators sticking out!
