Expert Posts: 1357 Location: Iowa USA | Not letting it go for cheap because I may never find another but here is a hell of a piece of artwork for your den or garage. http://www.ebay.com/itm/291643298029 Would never even consider selling it but the Desoto UTE restoration is more important.

Expert Posts: 1357 Location: Iowa USA | Probably came out in the late 40s but the dealers kept them around for years. Back in the early 80s a dealer in Southern Iowa had one on his wall with a $1,000.00 price tag on it. Must not have been to bad. It was sold the next time I visited him.

From the history I've found, they came out in 1949 and were authorized to be displayed through 1954. Afterwards, it was up to the dealership on whether or not to keep it up. Very rare pieces, not a huge value item compared to other neon signs of the era, but they do have some attraction.

Expert Posts: 1357 Location: Iowa USA | Here is a shot of the one I am selling from near the same angle for side by side comparison. Need to account for lighting differences and flash photograph on the one I do not own.
