I am running the Scarebird disc brake conversion on my wagon with a dual master cylinder. I was wondering what newer style power brake booster will bolt on. What have other people used. The Dodge Ram calipers were never offered with manual brakes, so it takes more pedal pressure than most of my old cars. It is better now than when I had drum brakes, but I have heard the power booster will help even more.

Newer Mopar or newer aftermarket?

I don't know of a booster that will bolt to your existing master cylinder firewall bolt pattern, any will require drilling a new bolt pattern in the firewall plate and the pedal ratio would have to be changed. Most FL Mopar manual brakes used a pedal ratio of 8-1...way too high for power brakes.

I have been working on a conversion, Not done yet, but, I used a 'Hemi' style bracketed 8" dual diaphragm booster with a mopar 4 bolt style master for disc/drum. It is close to the valve cover, but I believe it can be removed with some mods to the last hole.

Still working on the PV2 valve and bracket for proper braking. Have to criss-cross the lines to match unit and thread sizes. Marc,

i'm thinkin bout doin close to the same thing using an 8" dual booster but using a corvete disc/disc master . with the system i have, it's not exactly the best pedal feel . the corvette master i have also
has the 4 bolt adapter but i can't use it because of the way my manual steering column bracket bolts to the 2 left side bolts . adding the vette master , makes it in the way of that bracket . i'm not 100%
on goin with power brakes , just kickin it around pretty good in my pea brain . rear discs will be a reality though-------------------------------------------later
