Has anyone found a cheap , generic replacement for our power window motors ?? Any DC motor with 2-3/4 body and 5/16 shaft would work , me thinks !!

The shaft is even the right length. It has teeth , but I just run it with 12v and hold against grinder to turn it down to 5/16 , then grind a flat side. And a couple layers of duct-tape to snug it in the mount.

Whoa --- do our power-window motors reverse the usual way -- by reversing the polarity to the leads ??? Or do they use chassis ground and apply 12V to one lead or the other !!!

I can confirm the above also for '59 and '60 as well as later models.

So, did anyone mount them yet and if so, did the rpm/torque work in a simular way as the original motors?
Does the bolts for the reduction gear correspond to the motor?

So our FL window motors are special that way. Most DC motors reverse simply by reversing the leads !!! I guess Ma Chrysler did this to simplify the wiring somehow ???
