Don't have a parts car, but I have parts, what do you need?

I have a 60 4 door sedan I always wanted to restore rolling shell, all paint has been stripped and coated with key-foss to prevent rust during resto. I have decided to finish my 61 and be happy with that while I restored my 58 so I may consider selling the 60

There are a few less after a clearing sale 2 years ago but he still has a couple left, including his daily driver. Getting what is left may not be very easy but if you are interested I can go and take a look or pass on his number.

Clearing sale?

Last time I talked to the man he was going to leave a pair to each of his heirs... a usable car and a parts car. 14 in all, wasn't it?

Obviously some of the kids straightened him out on what they'd like to inherit. And if the numbers are down I'd agree that it might be hard to get any more out of him before he breathes his last.

The clearing sale was interesting to say the least! He ended up deciding to keep some items as the auctioneer got to them (including his 60 Convertible) and then a couple of items he bought back off the new owners before they collected them (his FJ Holden ute being one of them!) I would say he reduced his pile of stuff by half. He was also selling a property and reneged on that around the same time, he seems to suffer from pre sellers remorse!

I can't imagine him ever selling the convertible...

It's a Phoenix he bought in Phoenix as I recall.

There wasn't much left of the wreck in which another bloke was killed, I don't think, but he would have sold that if he could.

That's a 1962 (or '63?) Dodge Custom 880...

Probably a big block. That's a question I would ask. Left hand drive and being a couple of years later would naturally reduce interchangeability of parts, but it might be leverage to get one of the Lockington cars.

Yeah I did wonder how much would carry over but thought it was worth mentioning on the off chance that it would help Autoart out
