I don't know if you already know the background, but during the cruising at Classic Car Week, the Police fined a lot of car owners for rediclous reasons; Too shiny bumper, lack of rear reflectiv lenses and more minor issues. It has been discovered that the actual fines doesn't corrospond to the Police copies of the fines and now the police has chosen to report their motor vehicle examiner for forgery and gross misconduct. The man in the video plans to contiue to stribe until all fined car owners are vindicated and reimbursed for their fines......

Board Moderator & Exner Expert 10K+ Posts: 13049 Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | The police used to make car checks out on the roads very often in the old Days Tom, they called it "roadside inspection". This was used as a punishment against us "raggare", because the police always found errors that meant that the car had to be inspected again. The worst kind of punishment was the "Spanish Flag" which meant that the car could not be driven on the roads until a repair and a new inspection was done. I was stopped 3 times during 30 kilometers in my youth but the same police officers and they tried very hard to find/create an error (sometimes a police officer would grab the steering wheel and stood on the brake pedal until something broke). Today, this is not so common anymore, but it happens - as in Rättvik this year...... (712264_317_250.png) Attachments ---------------- 712264_317_250.png (207KB - 583 downloads)

This was also common 35-50 years ago in your eastern beloved neighbour country when you drove a suspicious big old car. Looks like Swedish police forces doesn't have a lack of resources, a shortage of crew and savings regimen like here use to be..

Spot on - if you try to report a chrime like burglary or car theft, then the police has no resources or powers to help you, if you should drive some kilometers above the speed limits, then they have all the necessary crew
